Shawn Jackson
Strength Coach

My name is Shawn Jackson. I am excited to partner with Baseball Concepts to bring innovative strength & speed training, recovery, and impact the future generations. Trial and error, science, and continued education are important for developing elite athletes. Jackson Elite Training will use the most up to date training to help all our athletes excel in strength, speed, and most importantly stay injury free with proper recovery and flexibility/mobility protocols.

I am a former collegiate football player that has shifted into the field of coaching and training. I have a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science and I am a certified speed and agility specialist certified through the IYCA(International Youth Conditioning Association) and member of the Footdoctor Sports. I have been taking part in training myself or training athletes for the past 10 years. There is nothing more exciting to me than seeing hard work pay off for the clients I train!

Eric Dawson
Mental Health Coach

Eric is an athlete and social worker based out of New York City. He was a three-sport athlete in high school and a Division I collegiate athlete before transferring to Hope College. In 2012, he was voted one of the most difficult outs in college baseball. Eric went on to earn his Masters in Social Work from NYU and has since accumulated over 3,000 hours of counseling experience in NYC. Eric recently served as Hope College’s unofficial baseball mental performance coach. At the beginning of 2019, Eric stepped away from the field of social work to continue his baseball career.

Working with athletes, Eric uses a collaborative approach. He leans heavily on evidence-based interventions, empathy and transparency. He helps athletes increase their confidence, turn anger into aggression, develop a healthy mental approach, as well as challenge negative self-talk.
